SpletI had my driver shaft professionally shortened to either 44 or 43.5 early last summer. the result was that I literally could not hit the ball straight off the tee. I have no idea why, as the research definitely shows that you should be a lot more accurate if you shorten your driver, but for me, it did exactly the opposite.
